15 Sep Jaipur in Bloom
The colour burst sensation of a vintage Indian sari bought in the backstreets of Jaipur, fuelled this styled table setup. It was quite the impromptu shoot completely inspired by the delicate fabric and the emotions and stories the sari evoke when you feel the texture underneath your fingers. There are deep shades of mustard yellow, pinks, lilacs and darker blues and charcoal… a piece of history as vibrant as the city of Jaipur itself…
With the sari being so unique and eclectic the other elements were kept minimal with a distressed antique table, fresh white pear blossoms and slightly tarnished, yellow copper tableware. The table was styled to be opulent yet simplistic and with a vibe fit for a bohemian celebration.
Focus was placed on an intriguing copper dragon that helped cement the feeling of a more exotic affair and the contrast between the rough wood and the ethereal blooms tied it all together.
